Do Not Forget To Recite These 5 Dua’as In The Last Ashra Of Ramadan
By Quran Academy April 28th, 5 Istighfar Duas from the Quran and Sunnah One of the realities of life for us is that no matter how hard we try, we often fall short and commit sins. This is the purpose of istighfar- to seek forgiveness from Allah swt from every wrongdoing that we have committed.
Why should you seek forgiveness? Every sin that a Muslim commits counts against them on the day of judgement, except if Allah swt chooses to forgive them. And we know that as humans, we are very fallible and prone to committing sins no matter how little.
So we should always seek forgiveness so that our sins are wiped from our book of deeds and we can increase our chances of entering Jannah paradise. What are istighfar duas? When we seek forgiveness from Allah swt , we do so in the same way that we recite duas for other things that we ask him for. And like all duas that we recite in Islam, duas for istigfhar have been taught to us from the Quran, as well as the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad saw , so that we can use them as a means of seeking forgiveness and getting closer to Allah.
Here are some istighfar duas that you can incorporate into your daily worship as a way to consciously seek the forgiveness of Allah swt. The majority of Muslims say this often as it is short and easily memorizable even in its Arabic form.
This dua is one of the duas of forgiveness that the Holy Prophet used to recite often, especially after every Salah. I seek forgiveness from Allah. My Rab! Forgive me and pardon me. It also asks for pardon while praising Allah swt with some of His majestic attributes. I beg forgiveness from Allah and I turn to Him in repentance. It is not enough to ask Allah to forgive us for a sin, to make our forgiveness whole and acceptable, we need to repent from the sin and make an intention to never return to that sin again.
O Allah! You are my Rab. There is no true god except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins.
Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon.

Spirituality 14 duas supplications for forgiveness Allah, Most High, says: "O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you.
Verily we have been doing wrong! These are the words of supplication of my brother Yunus, peace be upon him. The latter declared it sound sahih and Dhahabi confirmed him]. Forgive me my sins, surely you are Forgiving, Merciful. I ask You for Forgiveness for my sins, and for Your Mercy. Forgive all my sins and ommissions. Rabbana wala tuham-milna mala taqata-lana beh. Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord!
Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.
Wa kama yambaghi li jalali wajhi rabina wa jamalihi wa kamalihi. Wa kama yuhibu rabina wa yardha. I seek the forgiveness of Allah, the Tremendous, the one besides whom there is no god, the Living, the Self-Sustaining, the forgiver of sins, the possessor of majesty and splendor. O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for all my sins. I ask You to forgive me for all my wrongdoings [mazalim] against people that You have recorded, for there are many rights [huquq] and dues [mazalim] owed to Your servants that I am burdened with and for which I am hostage [murtahin].
O Allah, even if these wrongdoings are many they are insignificant in comparison with the magnitude of Your forgiveness. O Allah, any male or female servant of Yours who has rights upon me, in either that I have unjustly taken from him [ghasabtu] in regards to his land, possession, honor, body; whether he was absent or present; or he or his representatives demanded it from me and neither was I able to return it to him nor did I seek release of it from him. So I ask You through Your benevolence, generosity, and abundance of what You possess that You satisfy them on my behalf, and not give them a position over me that will decrease my good deeds; for You possess what You can satisfy them with on my behalf and I do not possess what to satisfy them with; and do not allow for their bad deeds to find a path over my good deeds on the Day of Judgment.

I seek forgiveness from Allah. My Rab! Forgive me and pardon me.
Dua For the deceased at the funeral prayer
It also asks for pardon while praising Allah swt with some of His majestic attributes. I beg forgiveness from Allah and I turn to Him in repentance. It is not enough to ask Allah to forgive us for a sin, to make our forgiveness whole and acceptable, we need to repent from the sin and make an intention to never return to that sin again.
O Allah! You are my Rab. The rest of the Muslim community is thus exempt from the obligation to perform the funeral prayer. If the deceased is an adult, a man or a woman, the following prayer is recited: O Allah, forgive our living and our dead and those of us who are present and absent, our young and old, and our males and females.
O Allah, those to whom you give life, hold them firm over Islam, and those of us whom you kill, let them die in faith. Do not deprive us, Allah, of the benefits of the deceased and do not submit to a trial after him. The particular prayer for a deceased male child O Allah make him our precursor, and make him, for us, a reward and a treasure, and make him a litigator for us and accept his pleading. Particular prayer for a deceased female child O Allah makes her a precursor, and makes her for us a reward and a treasure, and makes her plead and accept it.
The funeral prayer can also be performed in absentia for a deceased person, especially for personalities or when few Muslims have offered the original funeral prayer. Only one funeral prayer can be performed for several people who died at the same time. If a body is to be transported a considerable distance before the burial, the funeral prayer must be performed before the beginning of the transport.
Several funeral prayers can be performed for the same person, usually at two different places.
Dua for Parents and all the Believers
Women can participate in funeral prayer. However, when such a prayer is performed in the cemetery, women are generally advised not to accompany the burial ceremony because of their softer heart. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. You are my Lord!
