  • Due to a decrease in funding Luvable Dog Rescue has had to make some changes. Our organization is committed to supporting our local spay and neuter programs and our collaboration with Stop Pet Over Population Today S. We hope to increase our support of spay and neuter services and other programs for low income and homeless dog owners in our community. However, to lower our own operating expenses, Luvable has reduced its onsite maternity program and small dog rescue.

We are committed to the animals still in our care. The best hope for our future is to secure financial independence through a broad base of support and donations. Every donation will help us continue to operate and save dogs from death row, special needs dogs, pregnant dogs, and mothers with puppies.

We realize this is a challenging time for everyone. We are a private non-profit, operating on the personal property of our founder, Liesl Wilhardt on 55 acres outside Eugene, Oregon. We are a public charity, relying on donations and adoption fees to operate. We are not open to the public, because our very small staff must devote their time to dog-care. We also strive to keep our operations as peaceful as possible with minimal traffic, so dogs and neighbors are not disturbed.
